Musik über Niedergang & Verderben

Twilight - a light which is composed of two sources, lets edges become blurred, creates fluent passages and makes supposed familiarity appear surprisingly new and different. The time of twilight, dusk or dawn, is ambiguous. A clash of optimism and apocalypse. Coming into being and passing away.

Remember Twilight signify nuances, as well. The octet from Greater Stuttgart / Germany have named their self-made genre 'chamber music core' which combines the classic soundscape of violins, oboe and cello with the violent sound of a band ranging somewhere between metal and hardcore. A touch of folk music, the evocation of black romance without being too nebulous and risking to bog down into well-known clichés. A circumstance which is already prevented by the lively presentation of the German lyrics. Snapshots within a torn world searching for meaning. Thoughtstarters that avoid platitudes, but are also clear of being aloof and having their heads in sophisticated ivory towers.

Over the years, Remember Twilight have gained a save spot in the musical underground by means of constant hard work. Touring with bands like Waltari, Haggard or Coppelius and concerts together with Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Battlelore, Tanzwut or Korpiklaani vouch for the open-mindedness of most different scenes. Medieval festivals or metal club: Remember Twilight follow through with their vision of a unique soundscape putting their entire heart into it. If circumstances demand even up to the Carpathian Mountains. The debut album "Zerrissen" (2005) produced by Alex Krull (Atrocity / Leaves Eyes), the MDC "Der Tolle Mensch" (2007) and the latest release "Musik über Niedergang und Verderben" (2010) produced by Markus Stock (The Vision Bleak) are milestones during a creative journey on the edge of the night: throughout the twilight zone somewhere between Wacken (German metal festival) and the backyard of the Threepenny Opera.
