Rechtzeitig zur Tour mit den Merciful Nuns und Vendemmian erscheint im Frühjahr 2011 die Lightbringer EP in streng limitierter Auflage.
Während die Band bereits am Nachfolger zu "The Eternal Arcane" arbeitet, hat man auf der 6-track EP neben zwei atmosphärischen Instrumentalstücken den neuen Song "Lightbringer", eine Piano Version von "Blood, Sweat and Tears", eine Cover Version des Leonard Cohen Klassikers "First We Take Manhattan" sowie einen exklusiven Lost In Desire - Remix von "Clouds Without Water" gebannt.
Damit verkürzen die Whispers überaus angenehm das Warten auf das neue Album, welches vorraussichtlich im Frühjahr 2012 erscheinen wird. Zwischenzeitlich wird Whispers-Mastermind Ashley Dayour als Gitarrist in seiner neuen Band Coma Divine nicht untätig bleiben, und auf den anstehenden Coma Divine Konzerten das Debüt Album dieser Band präsentieren.

Nach ihrem letztjährigen Album “The Eternal Arcane”, dem zweiten Teil eines Vier-Alben Zyklus’ legen die Whispers In The Shadow nach der Bonus DVD zum Album „Into The Arms Of Chaos“ ihre zweite Live-DVD vor.
Diese erscheint in einer streng limitierten Fan-Edition als Einzel-DVD („Searching For Light“), sowie als Dop-pel-DVD („Searching For Light & Chaos“) zusammen mit der damaligen „Chaos“ Bonus-DVD „Tunes from underneath the surface“.
Auf „Searching For Light“ zeigt die Band um Mastermind Ashley Dayour erneut, dass moderner klassischer Gothic-Rock zeitlos, und vor allem auch mit der Live-Präsenz einer „echten“ Band, die mittlerweile wieder aus fünf Bandmitgliedern besteht, sowohl optisch als auch musikalisch eindrucksvoll präsentiert werden kann.
Nachdem die Band im Frühjahr bereits einige Konzerte zusammen mit Vendemmian und den Merciful Nuns gespielt hat, und bereits am neuen Album arbeitet, welches für Frühjahr 2012 geplant ist, wird es zum Herbst 2011 sicher noch einige Live Performances der Band auf internationalen Bühnen geben.

The Eternal Arcane
After their last full length-album "Into The Arms Of Chaos" and the remix-CD „Borrowed Nightmares & Forgotten Dreams“ the sixth studio-album „The Eternal Arcane“ arrives.
The new album is the second part of a mystical-occult four-album theme which is based on a common con-cept of this genre and has been quite successfully performed by bands like The Sisters Of Mercy (Flood-land), Fields Of The Nephilim (Elizium) or the well know genre icons Garden Of Delight.
With the 11 new songs „Whispers In The Shadow“ demonstrate, that they are capable of adding new elements to the genre „Goth-Rock“ even after 13 years of band history.
The musical spectrum on the new album follows the path of it’s precessor „Into The Arms Of Chaos“ but extends it to a new level of sound and songwriting.
Apart from to their well known epic 10-minute songs and almost catchy Gothic-Rock like „The Lost Souls“ or „From Aeon to Aeon“ the album as well presents even more darker and heavier tunes like „Blood, Sweat And Tears“ for which the Whispers made their first official video.

Borrowed Nightmares & Forgotten Dreams
Six months after the release of Into The Arms of Chaos, Whispers In The Shadow come up with their re-mix album Borrowed Nightmares & Forgotten Dreams.
Besides variations of songs from their recent album as well as new versions from well-known classsics like Train or A Taste Of Decay you can also find five songs from an album which is yet to be released. So this CD will be a real treasure. The songs were remixed by :

Into The Arms Of Chaos
The band around frontman Ashley Dayour (also known as the guitarist for L’ame Immortelle) is back again. Into the arms of chaos is the first studio record in years and leads them back onto the path of gothic rock, but with a modern sound and an unheard “Wall of Sound” production by John A. Rivers who also worked with bands such as Clan of Xymox, Dead Can Dance, Love and Rockets (Ex-Bauhaus), amongst others.
Whispers in the Shadow was formed by singer and guitarist Ashley Dayour in 1996. Between 1997 - 2003 they released 4 studio and 2 live albums. After a few tours and last years live album “A Cold Night” they worked constantly on what should become the new album.
The transformation into a harder and darker sound shows that Gothic Rock can be an intense and many-faceted experience. Thunderous drums, wailing vocals, a dark growling bass meet partly hard, partly melodic guitars. This sound was sometimes already described as “Goth Floyd.”
For him, Ashley explores untouched territories with the lyrical concept of the album, chaos magic, H.P.Lovecraft and the writings from Austin Osman Spare have a huge influence on the record. Besides a few special release concerts, there will be some festival shows and a bigger tour in spring 2009.
In addition to the standard CD-version, there will be a limited edition DVD+CD box including a 45min concert, inter-views,bonus footage and a 12-page booklet available.
