Bass player Tom is leaving the Swiss hardrock/metal combo Maxxwell. Maxxwell are now looking for a new bass player!!!
Here is a message from Maxxwell: 

"Due to time contraints Tom is no longer able to play bass for Maxxwell. This hurts since Tom is a great guy and he fitted well into the band as a friend as well as a bass player. But we do understand that he had to leave. Big thanks go out to you Tom, we had a great time with you and there will always be a beer( or two..)for in the fridge.
Thus we are looking for a new bass player to follow the footsteps of "Mister Church".You have to be a real rock'n roller and you have to be really commited. You have to be willing to rehearse 1-2 times a week(our rehearsal room is in CH-Dagmersellen/Lu), you have to be able to put some money into the band(for touring, CD-production, etc.) and you have to put in your time during holidays or as unpaid leave. We know that we demand a lot  of our new bass player but everything else would be counterproductive for our band. We have a record deal and our records are distributed worldwide, we have many opportunities to play shows home and abroad and we are planning to release our second album in autumn 2010. The five-piece band Rocketchief from Muenster/Germany has signed with Fastball Music. Their highly anticipated debut album "Rise of the Machine" will be realeased on April 16 2010! "Rise of the Machine" is pure rock'n roll music, honest, direct and down to earth. You can hear that the band had much fun recording the album. Chris Kramer has won an award as  "best solo artist on an instrument" at the German Rock and Pop Awards. He also got second place in the categories "best song arragement", "best rhythm and blues singer", "best rhythm and blues album" and "best wind instrument". It is very rare that a solo artist is considered by the critical jury for so many categories. For his new album "unterwegs..." Chris Kramer was honoured for his arrangements, as a singer and for being a virtuosic instrumentalist.

James Kottak, drummer of the legendary Scorpions, is the frontman Jimmy Ratchitt of KOTTAK. With guitars at the ready and a strong punk-rock voice KOTTAK are rocking the house. Athena, little sister of Tommy Lee, is hitting the drums hard and holds up the flag of drummers in her family very high. Johnny Lucas (lead guitar) and Price (bass) round out the band’s line up.
KOTTAK describe their music as "Cheap-Trick meets Green Day on a bad day“. L.A. style Punk-Rock from the top end of the scale.
The four young Swedes of BLOWSIGHT led by singer Nick Red surprise with a very unique way of writing gorgious rock songs with punk-attitude, metal-guitar riffs and pop-melodies. With his new single "Hey...I Love You" (feat. Robin Beck) The Boyscout made it to the top 100 of the web-radio
charts .The song went up to the 5th position. Also, his song "Children Of The NIght"  made it to 15th position. His TV-performance on RTL Luxemburg at the end of september was also well-recieved by the audience.

Tempesta's single "The Way It Is" ( taken from their album "The Other Side" went straight to number 88 in the Swiss single charts. You can see the corresponding video on VIVA Switzerland, wher eit is on heavy rotation. Tempesta's album was released in Austria, Germany and Switzerland on September 4. Tempesta will be playing plenty of shows in Switzerland until the end of the year and for 2010 they also plan to play plenty of shows in Germany.

Heavy riffs, hard pounding rhythms and an expressive, unique voice-this is the best way to describe Maxxwell. The band was formed in the area of Sursee near Lucerne in Switzerland.each one of the band members is quite experienced and they all brought a lot of rock'n' roll into the band. And you can definitely hear that on their album or when they play live. 

After their single "Wanna Go To Mars"( feat. Francis Rossi) went to the Top 100 of the Swiss airplay -charts Vivian already worked on their next surprise:
Their new single "The Sun" was released on August 21 and it is the perfect soundtrack for the last warm summer days.
The original version of the song is on their recent album "Nordic Hotel" and has also been produced in Hamburg by  the great Sandi Strmljan (Udo Lindenberg, No Angels, Natural, etc.). This time Vivian recorded the song with Patrick Nuo, a singer who is also from Switzerland and who has been a fan of Vivian's music for years.
Sandi Strmljan brought Patrick Nuo and Vivian together. Although the guys from Vivian and Patrick Nuo have grown up not that far away from each other it was their german producer who introduced them to each other.
Anyway this single it is a very special and unique cooperation of the two Swiss artists that makes you want to hear more...This single will make the sun shine in your heart.

DADA ANTE PORTAS will now release their fifth album that has already won a gold record in Switzerland. And of course all bands do think that their last album always is their best album.
